Contemporary Visual Artist

Paula Belmar is a Chilean contemporary artist whose practice is primarily grounded in large-scale oil on canvas. Her work explores light as both phenomenon and presence, constructing compositions of heightened chromatic intensity in which form emerges from shadow. In her most recent series, "Dark Radiance", the investigation centers on organic structures that transform painting into a field of visual and physical experience for the viewer.
